No no no. How can anyone write a character like that? Nobody is that stupid and as a woman I'm insulted.
I loved the book. It had me gnashing my teeth at some of the scenes with Jeremy. I couldn't stop reading.
If you are looking for a good crime mystery, this book is the one. once I started reading it I did't want to put it down. It is worth reading.
A great crime story. I enjoyed the lesbians involved in a wonderful loving relationship. I would recommend this book to my friends.
I would like to give this book more stars. I haven't been this emotional about a book ever. At some point I had to stop reading I was so teary eyed. I highly recommend you read this book it won't disappoint.
A good story with plenty of twists and turns. I'm not gonna go into the plot here too much, but the abuse the main character endures is both horrendous and heartbreaking. What is even more heartbreaking is the fact so many women actually do go thru it. Hats off to you J.C. for touching upon such sensitive material and running with it.
The only other thing I would say is it tends to be repetitive here and there and drags a bit. But all in all a great story that will keep you wondering at every turn.
This is my second book to read from J.C. Russo (Dancing With Ghosts was my 1st), and I was not disappointed this time either. This is a poignant tale that for an empowered feminist was emotionally hard to read...it's too depressing for a woman (any woman) to become weak and lose their identity to the point the protagonist lost hers in this story. Russo's description of the origin of the powerlessness for this woman rang so true. Just because I've not lived it, doesn't mean that I cannot relate in some way to what happened to her. Perhaps this woman's horrifying situation is an extreme, but I believe, in a Utopian world, this should be a 'must read' for every straight couple before they marry, especially the women. There is always HOPE for everyone. Believe in yourself, you're all you've got!
Yep, Russo has done it again. I don't know how long it takes for this author to write her masterpieces, but hurry up girl, I'm waiting on #3 from you. Thanks for a gripping tale.
